Mallika Sherawat joins the bandwagon of Hollywood beauties who have bared it all before the camera.
This is what Indian men have all been waiting for. To catch Mallika Sherawat baring all on screen. If Hollywood hotshots Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and Sharon Stone can do it, so can India’s answer to all of them.
Sherawat is in California to shoot for her film Jackie the Ripper, where she plays…. you guessed it…. the victim of the ripper’s fantasies - a role which her producer Jackie Chan says will involve a lot of ..err umm.. “adult scenes”. And this is not all.
Starring opposite Sherawat for this US $ 23 million venture is Chan himself and… hold your breath…Mel Gibson as ‘Whackie’ - Jackie’s psychiatrist friend who is also a sex starved doctor.
In an exclusive e-mailed interview, action hero and producer-director Jackie Chan confirmed that the bubbly Sherawat is playing the leading lady in his next venture.
“The film, which tells the story of a seemingly normal man who suffers from a mental wardrobe malfunction and resents any woman wearing too many clothes, is full of steamy action, and yet is a comedy flick like all my other movies,”says Chan. Sherawat too cannot hide her excitement.
“Imagine starring opposite Mel Gibson. I have promised Jacks (that’s what she calls “dear friend”Jackie) that I will do any scene for him, even if it means shedding my inhibitions a bit, because I know it will take me to Cannes again. Some beauty queens should be taught a thing of two.
I am having a lot of fun here, even though some of the scenes are making even me blush. But overall, the three of us are having a blast,”she says.
